Bryan Zmijewski - President

President Bryan Zmijewski was first elected as a Director in June of 2014. He was elected to the position of President in June of 2016. He was re-elected in June of 2018 and then again in 2020. Bryan has been employed with the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office since 2012. He is currently assigned to the Family Protection Unit at the East County Branch. Bryan began his law enforcement career in 1988 with the El Cajon Police Department. He is a part of the Driving Instructor Team and TASER instructor. Bryan was a Director and President of the El Cajon Police Officers Association. Bryan has also begun his second term as the president of the San Diego/Imperial Counties Chapter of PORAC.


Tim Cook - Vice President

Tim Cook VP

Tim Cook was first elected as the Association's Treasurer in July of 2018.  He was elected to the position of Vice President in June of 2020. Tim has been employed with the San Diego District Attorney’s Office Since June 8th 2018. He is currently assigned to our East County Branch. Tim spent the last 15 years with the La Mesa Police Department. While at the La Mesa Police Department, he worked a variety of assignments to include, training officer, motors, detective, and taskforce detective (RATT). In addition, he held the collateral duties of firearms, TASER and less-lethal instructor. Vice President Cook has prior experience with the La Mesa Police Officers’ Association as a Board member, Vice President and President. In his free time, Tim coach girls’ volleyball at both Santana High School and travel ball at the Summit Volleyball Club. Tim is assigned to the Merchandise Committee.


Dan Harward - Treasurer

Dan Harward was first elected as a Director in July of 2018.  He was then elected to the position of Treasurer in June of 2020. Dan has been employed with the San Diego District Attorney’s Office Since October of 2012. He is currently assigned to our Special Operation Division. Dan came to the DA's Office after working at the California Department of Justice for 5 years and then with the National City Police Department for 9 years.  Dan is also assigned to the Social Comittee.


JK Hudgins - Secretary

Secretary J.K. Hudgins has been with the District Attorney's Office since 2013 and was elected to the board as a Director in June of 2016.  In June of 2018, JK was elected as the Association's secretary and re-elected in 2020. He is currently assigned to the Insurance Fraud Division. Secretary Hudgins comes to the DA's Office after 33 years of service with the San Diego Police Department where he served in numerous specialized and investigative assignments including traffic, vice, financial crimes and criminal intelligence. Director Hudgins spends his off duty time in the area of real estate investment and property management. As a small business owner, J.K. brings a business oriented outlook to the association. Director Hudgins is assigned to the Fallen Officer Fund Committee.


Carlos Medina - Director 1

Carlos Medina

Director Carlos Medina has been with the District Attorney’s Office since 2014. Carlos was elected as a Director in July of 2018 and was re-elected as a Director in June of 2020. He is currently assigned to Elder Abuse investigations. Carlos started off is Law Enforcement career in 1981 working with the Indiana University Police Department while pursuing one of his BA degrees.  In 1984, he joined the San Diego PD. In the 30 years with SDPD, Carlos was assigned to various tactical and investigative assignments.  He is a life time member with the National Peace Officers Association (NLPOA) where he has held every board position. Carlos is currently involved with the Boy Scouts of America as an Assistant Scout Master giving back to the community.  Carlos is assigned to the Insurance Committee.


James Clark - Director 2

James CLaRK

Director Jim Clark has been employed with the San Diego District Attorney’s Office since 2013. Jim was elected to the board as a Director in June of 2016.  In June of 2018 and 2020 he was re-elected as a Director. He is currently assigned to the South Bay office. When Jim was hired he was assigned to the Economics Crimes Division investigating crimes against consumers. Since then he has worked at the Human Trafficking Task Force and is now stationed at the South Bay office in Chula Vista. Jim began his law enforcement career in 1987 with the San Diego Police Department. He worked in various investigative assignments with SDPD, persons and property crimes, domestic violence, vice, and narcotics. Jim is very involved with the Baker to Las Vegas law enforcement relay race, the Association’s casino night, and the DA open golf tournament. This is Jim's third term on the SDDAIA Board of Directors.  Jim is assigned to the Legal/Professional Committee.


Sal Campos - Director 3

Sal Campos was elected as a Director in June of 2020. Sal has been employed with the San Diego District Attorney’s Office since March of 2007. Sal is currently the assigned supervisor for our Computer And Technology Crime High Tech Response Team (CATCH). Sal came to the DA's office after working with the El Cajon Police Department. Sal is also a Fallen Officer's Fund comittee member.


Brian Racine - Director 4

Brian Racine

Brian Racine was selected as a Director in July of 2018 and re-elected as a Director in June of 2020. Brian was hired as an investigator with the San Diego District Attorney’s office in June 2018. He is currently assigned to Auto Insurance Fraud Unit. Brian came to the DA’s Office after about 16 years with the Chula Vista Police Department. He served there as a Community Service Officer, Patrol Officer and Patrol Agent. He worked a variety of assignments including Patrol, Detective with the Regional Auto Theft Task Force, Detective with the Narcotics Enforcement Team and Field Training Officer. Brian is assigned to the Retired Medical Trust Committee.


Micheal Brown - Director 5

Michael Brown

Micheal Brown served as a two-term Treasurer from June 2014 to June of 2018.  Micheal was elected as a Director in June of 2020.  Micheal was hired as an investigator with the San Diego County Distric Attorney's Officer in 2011.  He is currently assigned to our Economic Crimes Unit. Micheal came to the DA’s Office after about after 9 years with the Davenport Police Department in Iowa and then 10 years with the Oceanside Police Department.  He worked a variety of assignments including a narcotics investigator on a multi-jurisdictioal task force, field evidence technician, financial crimes and cromes of vilence detective. Mike heads up the Investment Committee.
